The short version: PDFmyWay processes PDFs and passwords locally in your browser. The application does not upload, store, analyse, or sell your documents. It has no accounts, advertising trackers, or product analytics.
1. Who this policy covers
This privacy policy applies when you visit pdfmyway.com or use its browser-based PDF tools. In this policy, “PDFmyWay”, “we”, and “the site” refer to the operator of PDFmyWay.
Effective date: 1 August 2026.
2. Your PDFs and passwords
Files selected in PDFmyWay are read and processed by code running on your device. PDF contents, page previews, metadata edits, and PDF passwords are held temporarily in browser memory and are not sent to PDFmyWay or Cloudflare by the application.
Generated PDF and ZIP files are created locally and downloaded directly by your browser. Closing or reloading the tab clears the active workspace. PDFmyWay does not save document contents in cookies, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, an account, or a remote database.
3. Technical website data
PDFmyWay is a static website delivered through Cloudflare Pages. When any website is requested, the hosting and security provider may process limited request information needed to return the page and protect its network. This can include:
- IP address and approximate network location
- browser, device, and operating-system information
- requested URL, referring page, language, date, and time
- security, performance, and error information
PDFmyWay does not add analytics scripts or use this information to build advertising profiles. Cloudflare processes network and request data under its own terms and retention practices. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
4. Cookies and browser storage
PDFmyWay does not set cookies and does not use browser storage to track visitors. A consent banner is therefore not shown.
Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if optional bot-management, rate-limiting, or similar protection is enabled. Such a cookie would be used to secure and deliver the website, not for advertising. This policy will be updated if the site begins using non-essential cookies or analytics.
5. Why limited data may be processed
Where data-protection law applies, limited technical request data is processed to deliver the website, maintain its security and reliability, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a safe and functional website, or the performance of a service requested when you open the site.
6. Sharing and international processing
PDFmyWay does not sell personal information. Technical request data may be processed by Cloudflare as the site’s hosting, content-delivery, and security provider. Because Cloudflare operates a global network, processing may occur outside your country under safeguards described in Cloudflare’s privacy documentation.
Your PDF files and passwords are not intentionally included in those website requests.
7. Retention
PDFmyWay does not retain uploaded documents because documents are never uploaded to it. Workspace data lasts only in the current browser tab. Cloudflare may retain limited network and security logs according to its own retention schedules and legal obligations.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to processing. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Because PDFmyWay has no user accounts and does not receive your documents, it may hold no application data that can be linked back to you. Additional information may be needed to verify a request involving technical hosting data.
9. Changes to this policy
This page may be updated when PDFmyWay adds features, changes hosting arrangements, or is required to explain new processing. The effective date above will change when a material update is published.
